Vinh Long and Sembcorp Discuss Renewable Energy and Eco-Industrial Park Development
Vinh Long province and Singapore's Sembcorp Industries met on December 22 to discuss collaboration in renewable energy and the development of eco-industrial parks. Sembcorp aims to support Vinh Long's sustainable energy transition, focusing on green industrial parks and smart infrastructure, while the province highlighted its potential in wind and biomass energy, along with its strategic logistics position. The discussion aligns with Vinh Long's development priorities for 2026-2030.

On December 22, Vinh Long province and Singapore's Sembcorp Industries held a meeting to explore cooperation in renewable energy and industrial park development. Sembcorp, a leader in energy and urban development, aims to support Vinh Long's sustainable energy transition.
The Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) has facilitated 29 years of industrial growth in Vietnam, covering 12,000 hectares with over $23 billion in investments, benefiting around 340,000 workers. Sembcorp expressed interest in Vinh Long's development priorities for 2026-2030, particularly in green industrial parks, renewable energy, and smart infrastructure. The provincial committee highlighted Vinh Long's advantages, including wind and biomass energy potential, and its strategic position as a logistics hub, with a total power capacity of 6,462 MW and the potential for 30,000 MW of offshore wind power.
