WATER INFRASTRUCTURE & DESALINATION

The Village of Vinton has commenced its Water and Sewer Phase III Project, supported by $4 million in federal funding secured by U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar.

The project aims to enhance potable water access and improve wastewater treatment for local businesses. It includes approximately 21,600 linear feet of waterline, 44 fire hydrants, and 65 new commercial water connections.

For wastewater, the system will add 13,988 linear feet of sewer line and decommission 59 onsite sewage facilities. Local leaders, including Vinton Mayor Rachel Quintana and El Paso County Commissioner Sergio Coronado, emphasized the project's importance for public health, safety, and economic growth in the community.
