Viridi's RPSLinkIN Energy Storage System Achieves UL 9540 Certification
Viridi's RPSLinkIN battery energy storage system has secured UL 9540 Listing from TÜV Rheinland, enhancing deployment safety in occupied environments. This certification allows for broader application across commercial and critical infrastructure, reducing risks traditionally associated with battery systems.

Viridi's RPSLinkIN 480V system has obtained UL 9540 Listing from TÜV Rheinland, facilitating its deployment in commercial and industrial settings without additional fire safety measures. The system passed stringent UL 9540A Ed. 5 testing, demonstrating no smoke, gas, or fire during assessments.
This certification addresses safety concerns, enabling the installation of energy storage systems in previously restricted environments. Notable deployments include the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory and a wastewater pumping station in Erie County, New York, showcasing up to 90 hours of backup power.
The listing supports the scaling of virtual power plants and distributed energy systems while promoting resilience in critical infrastructure. Viridi's fail-safe lithium-ion technology significantly lowers the risk of thermal propagation and battery fires, highlighting its potential in advancing energy storage solutions.
