Visionary Copper Initiates 3,000-Meter Drilling at Pt. Leamington Project in Newfoundland
Visionary Copper and Gold Mines Inc. has commenced a 3,000-meter Phase 1 exploration drilling program at its Pt. Leamington Project in Central Newfoundland. This represents the first drilling at the site in over 20 years, focusing on resource expansion and higher-grade zones.
The current indicated mineral resource stands at 5.0 million tonnes grading 2.5 grams per tonne gold equivalent, totaling 402,000 ounces gold equivalent, including 145,700 ounces of gold. Additional inferred resources are estimated at 15.4 million tonnes grading 2.3 grams per tonne gold equivalent.
The program aims to extend the deposit's strike length to 1.2 kilometers from 560 meters. Visionary Copper also issued 1.015 million stock options at $0.80 per share and amended existing options, subject to shareholder and TSX Venture Exchange approval.
