Voith Hydro Secures Contract for Santa Uxía Hydropower Plant in Spain
Voith Hydro has secured its first major contract with operator XEAL for the modernization of the Santa Uxía hydropower station in Galicia, Spain, involving the installation of two Francis runners. The project aims to enhance hydraulic efficiency and extend the lifespan of the machinery without altering the existing layout. XEAL manages multiple hydroelectric plants on the Xallas River, with a total capacity of 167 MW, including the Santa Uxía reservoir.
