Vortex Metals Initiates Phase Two Exploration at Illapel Copper-Silver Project in Chile
Vortex Metals has launched phase two exploration at its Illapel copper-silver project in Chile, expanding on initial findings. The project, located in the Commune of Illapel, Choapa Province, will cover 180km² and include a 2,000 line kilometre airborne geophysical survey to identify new drilling targets. Initial drilling revealed indications of a significant mineralised system. The company is also progressing discussions with a local contractor for the geophysical survey.

Vortex Metals has commenced phase two exploration at its Illapel copper-silver project in Chile, building on initial findings that identified low-resistivity sulphide mineralisation extending from the Rio 27 mine. The project covers 180km² and will involve a 2,000 line kilometre airborne geophysical survey using magnetics, VLF-EM, and radiometrics to determine potential mineralisation.
Initial drilling supported the presence of a mineralised system, with notable results from hole DVM-08. Discussions with a local contractor for the survey are ongoing. Vortex's ACAGOLD unit also received authorization for exploration in Oaxaca, Mexico.
