V.tal Reports R$ 524 Million Loss; Tecto to Build 6 MW Data Center in Pará
V.tal incurred a net loss of R$ 524 million in Q1, reversing last year's profit of R$ 38 million. This decline is attributed to increased costs and one-off liquidity events, impacting their financial performance significantly.

In the first quarter, V.tal reported a net loss of R$ 524 million, down from a profit of R$ 38 million in the same period last year. The company's net revenue fell 21% to R$ 1.46 billion, while costs increased by 22%, totaling R$ 1.16 billion.
EBITDA declined by 67% to R$ 295 million, with a margin drop of 28 percentage points to 20%. Investment decreased by 3.4% to R$ 377 million. Gross debt reached approximately R$ 2.4 billion.
The company also plans a 6 MW data center in Pará, approved for R$ 23 million, alongside a US$ 115 million loan from Citibank. These developments could influence V.tal's strategic positioning in the competitive telecom landscape.
