WABAG Secures ₹250-600 Crore Contract for Bengaluru Wastewater Treatment Facilities
VA Tech WABAG Ltd has received a significant order from BWSSB to construct two wastewater treatment plants in Bengaluru, valued between ₹250 crore and ₹600 crore. This project aims to enhance the city's wastewater infrastructure and promote sustainability through biogas energy recovery.

VA Tech WABAG Ltd has secured a contract from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) for two wastewater treatment plants in Bengaluru, valued between ₹250 crore and ₹600 crore. The contract includes a 100 MLD sewage treatment plant and a 25 MLD tertiary treatment plant at Byramangala, along with a 60 MLD STP at Bellandur.
The project encompasses design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, with a completion timeline of 36 months followed by a seven-year operations and maintenance period. This initiative addresses Bengaluru’s wastewater issues, promotes resource recovery, and aligns with the city’s sustainability goals.
