Waco and Robinson Celebrate Completion of Brazos Riverbank Restoration Project with USACE
WATER INFRASTRUCTURE & DESALINATIONDEFENSE
The Cities of Waco, Robinson, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will celebrate the completion of the Brazos Riverbank Restoration Project on March 19. The project was initiated to stabilize the Brazos riverbank, which has eroded at a rate of seven feet per year, threatening critical infrastructure for over 300,000 residents.
The ceremony will take place at the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant in Waco. This partnership involved the USACE Fort Worth and Omaha Districts and regional partners. The project aims to ensure the long-term safety of the local environment and municipal infrastructure.
