Wadi Araba Advances Abu Khushaibah Copper Project with New Agreements
Wadi Araba Minerals Company has signed a drilling agreement with Golden Compass for the Abu Khushaibah copper project and a skills development MOU with Jordan's Vocational Training Corporation. This initiative is poised to create over 800 jobs and enhance workforce capabilities in Jordan's mining sector.

Wadi Araba Minerals Company is progressing the Abu Khushaibah copper project through a drilling agreement with Saudi Arabia's Golden Compass and a skills development MOU with the Vocational Training Corporation of Jordan. The project includes the construction of an ore-processing plant with an annual capacity of 1,000 to 3,000 tonnes of raw copper.
The Abu Khushaibah concession, the first of its kind in Jordan, was formalized in December 2025 following exploratory activities initiated by a MOU with Turkish company Solvest in June 2022. This initiative may stimulate economic growth and job creation in the region, but it also necessitates careful monitoring of environmental impacts.
