Walmart Partners with Symbotic for E-Commerce Fulfillment Automation
Symbotic has initiated the installation of a SymMicro system at a Walmart location for enhanced e-commerce fulfillment, expected to operationalize in six months. This collaboration aligns with Walmart's strategy to enhance its supply chain and e-commerce capabilities through technological investment.

Symbotic is installing its first SymMicro system for e-commerce fulfillment at a Walmart store, aimed for completion in six months. This initiative is part of a broader partnership where Walmart has committed to purchasing 400 automated systems, enhancing its supply chain efficiency and e-commerce capabilities.
The SymMicro system utilizes autonomous mobile robots, capable of achieving 550 picks per hour, thereby streamlining order fulfillment processes. In 2025, Walmart will acquire Symbotic's advanced systems business while funding the deployment of delivery centers. The initial SymMicro systems will be overbuilt for testing before optimization.
