Water and Sanitation Projects Completed in Damt, Yemen
The Water and Sanitation Corporation in Damt District has completed several projects totaling 54 million riyals in value. These initiatives provide essential water and sanitation services to approximately 7,000 residents, significantly improving local infrastructure.

In Damt District, the Water and Sanitation Corporation has executed multiple projects with a total investment of 54 million riyals, enhancing water and sanitation coverage to 80%. Notably, the Qa'a Al-Jabr project, which is 11,000 meters long, cost $93,000, with $73,000 contributed by the Red Cross, directly benefiting 7,000 individuals.
Additionally, three sanitation projects worth 43 million riyals have been completed, along with a fencing project for a treatment plant at 40 million riyals, funded by local authorities. Work is ongoing to extend the sewage network, including several segments with a combined cost of over 8 million riyals. Future funding efforts for a wastewater treatment initiative valued at one billion riyals are also in progress, indicating a commitment to long-term improvements in local sanitation infrastructure.
