Water Supply Challenges and Infrastructure Upgrades in Clare
Clare's water network is under pressure, with reports of St Brigid's Well running dry and potential shortages at the Cliffs of Moher. Uisce Éireann has deployed tankers to maintain water levels and is monitoring supply concerns in Carron and Kilkee.

Uisce Éireann has implemented tankering operations in North Clare to address supply issues, including a dry St Brigid's Well and risks to the Cliffs of Moher visitor center. Repairs to burst water mains in Ennis and Shannon have restored supply to affected areas.
An interim upgrade project for the Clareabbey Wastewater Treatment Plant is scheduled for completion within two years, as the facility is currently at capacity. Monitoring of water resources continues amid rising demand, and the public is urged to conserve water. Long-term upgrades are in preliminary stages and expected post-2025.
