WayCon Introduces Waterproof WSTIP Eddy Current Sensors for Industrial Use
WayCon Positionsmesstechnik GmbH has launched the WSTIP series of waterproof eddy current sensors for industrial applications. These sensors operate effectively in wet environments, offering precise non-contact distance measurement of metallic targets and are especially suited for wastewater treatment facilities.

WayCon's new WSTIP series of eddy current sensors is designed for non-contact measurement in damp and underwater settings. With an IP68 rating, these sensors can measure distances from 0 to 30 mm, achieving up to 0.4 µm resolution and a frequency of 50 kHz.
Their robust 1.4571 stainless steel housing protects against corrosion, and the sensors function within a temperature range of -20 to +125 °C. Applications include position control in water systems and monitoring of metal components in cleaning processes.
The sensors are effective in wastewater treatment plants, ensuring reliable measurements despite exposure to water and chemicals. Their capability extends to measuring various metals and CFRP, making them versatile for industrial needs.
