Wayland Business Park Receives $16.9 Million for Electrical Infrastructure Expansion
The Wayland Business Park in Steuben County, NY, secured a $16.9 million state grant to enhance power capacity. This funding is integral to the POWER UP program aimed at developing power-ready industrial sites, facilitating growth in high-demand sectors.

The Wayland Business Park will receive $16.9 million from New York's POWER UP program to extend a 34.5kV electrical line by 6 miles from the NYSEG Meyer substation. This extension will provide immediate access to 6 megawatts of power and allow for future upgrades to 21 megawatts.
The funding covers 90% of the $18.779 million project cost. The initiative supports the attraction of advanced manufacturing and tech industries, addressing increased electrical demands. Previous investments in infrastructure are complemented by this project, enhancing the park's appeal for future developments. The award is part of a broader $300 million initiative to create power-ready industrial sites across New York.
