WBBA Launches AI-Net Certification for Global Data Communication
The World Broadband Association (WBBA) introduced AI-Net at the Asia-Pacific Broadband Development Summit, a certification aimed at enhancing global data communication networks for governmental and telecom operators. This initiative marks a significant shift from traditional connectivity solutions to AI-enabled networks, facilitating a transition towards an 'All-Intelligence' infrastructure that supports digital transformation and advanced technology development.

AI-Net certification encompasses a wide range of digital infrastructure, focusing on national strategies, industrial collaboration, and Net5.5G implementation. It aims to enhance the evaluation of technological maturity and align state development strategies with industry capabilities.
The certification supports a two-way influence: 'Network for AI' emphasizes networks as the foundation for intelligent computing, while 'AI for Network' incorporates AI into network management systems. By extending beyond traditional WANs to include interconnected data center networks and integrated security systems, AI-Net addresses the evolving needs of sectors such as smart logistics and digital commerce. This comprehensive framework helps to establish a globally recognized standard, facilitating the transition to a competitive digital economy by 2030.
