Weed Inc. Plans Data Center on Former Golf Course in New York
Weed Inc. aims to convert a former golf course in New York into a data center campus, enhancing digital infrastructure. The 44-acre site presents a significant development opportunity, with local government support contingent on final plans.

Weed Inc. is redeveloping a 44-acre former golf course, previously known as Sugar Hill Golf Course, into a data center campus. Located in Chautauqua County along Route 5, the project has received tentative support from the Town of Portland, pending detailed site plans.
The company acquired the site in 2022 and previously intended to develop a luxury resort but shifted focus after the golf course closure in 2020. Weed Inc. previously listed the property for sale at $2.1 million in late 2024, while local officials expressed concern over state acquisition efforts. The success of this project could position Weed Inc. favorably within the lucrative data center market.
