Weining Launches Environmental Impact Assessment for 5GW Photovoltaic Cell Project
On September 8, the Weining branch of the Bijie Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment unveiled its inaugural public notice concerning the environmental impact assessment for a significant new venture: the Weining 5GW XBC high-efficiency photovoltaic cell production project. This ambitious initiative is situated along Gongye 4th Road in the Wuligang Sub-District of Weining County and spans an impressive 265.49 mu of land.
Spearheaded by Das Solar Co., Ltd., the project aims to establish a state-of-the-art facility that encompasses a range of essential structures. Among these are battery workshops, comprehensive warehouses, and wastewater treatment stations, alongside specialized facilities such as air separation stations, hazardous waste warehouses, and chemical solution supply rooms.
The project also plans to include dormitory buildings and canteens, reflecting a comprehensive approach to both production and employee welfare. As Weining positions itself at the forefront of renewable energy production, this project signifies a pivotal step towards sustainable development in the region.
