The Wellington City Council is set to discuss an energy sales agreement with CORMOR for a Tier IV Data Center to be built north of the city. The site is owned by the Wellington Humane Society and is within the city's utility service area.

The project, designed to capitalize on local electrical capacity, could generate approximately $1.3 million in annual electric utility revenue and create 200 construction jobs. CORMOR's plan includes a waterless cooling system, with minimal water usage, and the potential for future expansion. The council has previously tabled the resolution for further review of infrastructure impacts and community concerns.
