Westar Resources Receives NT Grant for Bunda Creek Copper Exploration
Westar Resources has secured a grant of $55,689 from the Northern Territory Government to enhance exploration efforts at the Bunda Creek copper project. This funding will facilitate a regional airborne aeromagnetic survey, covering 569 km², critical for understanding the geological framework of the area.

Westar Resources (ASX: WSR) received $55,689 from the Northern Territory Government's Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations program for its Bunda Creek copper project. This funding will support an airborne aeromagnetic survey across 569 km², aiming to enhance knowledge of the Birrindudu Basin's geological architecture.
The survey is part of Westar's strategy to locate sediment-hosted copper deposits in a region noted for its underexploration. The results will be integrated with existing datasets to create continuous geophysical coverage over approximately 1,200 km². As demand for copper rises due to electrification trends, the findings could significantly impact the industry's focus on sediment-hosted copper systems.
