Westbridge Renewable Energy Corporation has received approval from the Alberta Utilities Commission for its Red Willow solar and battery energy storage project in Stettler County, Alberta, featuring a solar capacity of up to 225 MWac and a battery storage capacity of 200 MWh. The project will proceed under regulatory conditions, with interconnection approval applications anticipated by the end of 2026. Additionally, the AUC granted final approval for the Dolcy solar-plus-energy storage project, which includes a 300 MWac solar facility and a 100 MW/200 MWh battery system.
