Westfield APC Reviews Updated Ironstone Planned Development with Reduced Home Count
The Westfield Washington Advisory Plan Commission held a workshop on January 20 regarding the Ironstone planned unit development near Hortonville. Developer Platinum Properties, represented by Jon Dobosiewicz, presented a revised plan featuring 1,570 single-family homes and 230 townhomes, reduced from the initial proposal of 1,750 single-family homes and 250 townhomes.
The development will consist of three subdivisions: The Lakes (575 homes), The Village (620 homes and all townhomes), and The Reserve (375 homes). Key changes include the requirement for masonry on all homes and a unified 16-foot-wide trail for pedestrians and golf carts in The Village.
The project aims to preserve 97% of trees along the Monon Corner neighborhood and includes parkland funded by HOA fees. Land has also been designated for donation to Westfield Washington Schools. A follow-up workshop is planned for February or March.
