Wia Gold appointed David Edwards as CFO, effective March 9, to support the Kokoseb gold project in Namibia. Edwards has a strong background in financial roles within the mining sector, including his current position as CFO of Alliance Nickel and prior roles as CFO at Triton Minerals, where he managed the Ancuabe graphite project.

His experience also includes finance leadership at Clough and Fortescue Metals Group. CEO Henk Diederichs emphasized that Edwards' expertise will aid Wia in becoming a mid-tier gold producer and advancing its growth strategy.
