The Nucleus Archive in Wick has lodged a planning application with Highland Council for a solar photovoltaic (PV) array and two battery storage units, part of a site-wide decarbonisation initiative. The solar installation will use DMEGC Solar N-type bifacial double-glass modules, offering a maximum efficiency of 23.3% and generating between 445 and 465 watts.
Each battery unit, measuring 10ft per side and weighing 11 tons, will be located in the car park.
