Wien Energie Launches 62MW Loidesthal 2 Wind Farm in Austria
Wien Energie has launched the 62MW Loidesthal 2 wind farm, which will power over 44,000 households annually. This project is part of a broader strategy to double Wien Energie's wind capacity to 520MW by 2026, contributing to Austria's renewable energy goals.

Wien Energie has commissioned the Loidesthal 2 wind farm, which has a capacity of 62MW and will supply electricity to more than 44,000 households each year. This wind farm is the most powerful in Wien Energie's portfolio and supports the company's strategy to increase its total wind power capacity to approximately 520MW by the end of 2026.
Additional projects are planned, including Ebreichsdorf, Gruberkogel, and Steinriegel 3, as part of a long-term goal of achieving 1,800MW of renewable capacity by 2030 and 2,800MW by 2040 in Austria. The project's success signals a significant step toward enhancing local energy independence and supporting the energy transition.
