Residents of Wildwood Ranch in Joplin, Missouri, are opposing a proposed data center and are advocating for a one-year moratorium to evaluate its environmental impacts. The Joplin City Council is set to review the developer's requests for annexation and rezoning on January 20, 2024, amid concerns that data centers could lead to increased pollution and utility costs.
