Willis Launches New Risk Management Framework for Data Centers Amid Rapid Growth
Willis, a WTW business, has introduced a new framework for data center risk management, addressing the evolving nature of data centers as critical interconnected infrastructure. The framework, developed in collaboration with major global data center owners and construction firms, reflects the sector's expanding risk profile influenced by AI demand and various challenges such as climate change, cyber threats, and supply chain disruptions.
The eight-point framework aims to enhance operational resilience, mitigate environmental and legal risks, and ensure business continuity throughout the lifecycle of data center projects. Willis is also focusing on energy security solutions tailored to client needs, having secured over $3 billion in capacity for global hyperscale data center developments, with plans for further growth and new hires.
