Windey Energy Technology Group has confirmed an investment of $457 million for the Cangnan No. 6 offshore wind project in Zhejiang Province, China. The project's capacity has been expanded from 210 MW to 300 MW, necessitating an adjustment in investment plans.
The installation will feature 20 wind turbines and a 220-kV offshore substation, with final specifications determined during implementation. About 20% of the funding will come from equity, while the rest will be sourced from loans.
Approved by the board on August 26, the investment does not require shareholder consent. External factors such as macroeconomic conditions and market dynamics may influence the project's timeline and financial outcomes.
