Worcester Graduate Contributes to NASA's Artemis II Spacesuit Development
Christian Thompson, a Worcester graduate, has played a role in manufacturing components for NASA's Artemis II mission spacesuits, marking a significant achievement in his career trajectory. His journey from Quinsigamond Community College to a full-time position at David Clark Company illustrates the impact of technical education on advancing aerospace manufacturing capabilities.

Christian Thompson transitioned from Quinsigamond Community College (QCC) to a position at David Clark Company, contributing to NASA's Artemis II spacesuit components. After initially struggling in an engineering program, he shifted to advanced manufacturing, which included hands-on projects in QCC's labs.
Following a recommendation from his professor, he secured a part-time job at David Clark while completing his degree. Thompson's skills in prototyping and 3D printing were immediately applicable, leading to his involvement in testing spacesuit durability.
He holds a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering and aims for a master's degree focusing on robotics or mechanical engineering. His work supports technological advancements in aerospace that could enhance both space exploration and everyday life.
