World Hydrogen Summit 2026 and Hydrogen Network Launch in Rotterdam
The World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition 2026 takes place from May 19-21, with a focus on hydrogen as a sustainable energy carrier. The inaugural segment of the national hydrogen network, a 32-kilometer pipeline, was completed, facilitating hydrogen transport from Maasvlakte to industrial users.

The World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition 2026 is scheduled for May 19-21 in Rotterdam, gathering governments, companies, and experts to enhance hydrogen's role in the energy transition. During the event, King Willem-Alexander and Minister Van Veldhoven-van der Meer will engage with industry representatives and launch a digital hydrogen guide featuring 270 profiles of Dutch companies in the sector.
Following the summit, the first segment of the national hydrogen network, developed by Gasunie, will be inaugurated, enabling hydrogen transport from Maasvlakte to industrial consumers. This network will expand in the coming years, connecting major industrial regions in the Netherlands with Germany and Belgium by 2033. The minister will address attendees and activate the network alongside the King.
