Würth Enhances E-Procurement Integration via SAP Business Network
Würth Group's expansion of SAP Business Network aims to streamline B2B purchasing by automating order processes and enhancing visibility. This initiative is projected to save approximately 490,000 minutes annually, optimizing procurement efficiency for indirect materials.

Würth Group is enhancing its use of the SAP Business Network to standardize B2B purchasing for indirect materials, aiming to reduce manual order processing. The automation is expected to save 490,000 minutes annually, equivalent to 8,167 hours, by facilitating digital catalog exchanges, automated order transmissions, and invoice matching.
This initiative improves order tracking by integrating Würth transactions into customer procurement systems and allows for near real-time monitoring of orders. As part of a wider strategy, the network will be utilized by around 3,000 sales representatives and over 600 branches in Germany, targeting indirect procurement, which features higher transaction volumes with smaller order values. The push for standardized digital procurement connections highlights the growing importance of e-procurement systems in B2B transactions, although successful adoption requires alignment of systems and data between suppliers and customers.
