Yamanashi Delegation Visits Uttar Pradesh to Enhance India-Japan Investment in Green Energy and Tourism
A delegation from Yamanashi Prefecture, led by Vice Governor Junichi Ishida, is visiting Uttar Pradesh to explore investment opportunities in green hydrogen, renewable energy, and tourism. The discussions, coordinated by Invest UP, emphasized Uttar Pradesh's potential as a cultural hub and included a focus on clean energy collaboration under the state's Green Hydrogen Policy 2024. The visit aims to strengthen India-Japan ties and foster long-term partnerships in energy and industrial development.

A delegation from Yamanashi Prefecture, led by Vice Governor Junichi Ishida, is visiting Uttar Pradesh for three days to explore investment opportunities in green hydrogen, renewable energy, infrastructure, tourism, and hospitality. The visit, coordinated by Invest UP, included discussions with Uttar Pradesh's Tourism Department, highlighting the state's potential as a cultural hub with major Buddhist sites.
Meetings with the Energy Department focused on clean energy collaboration, particularly in green hydrogen, supported by Uttar Pradesh’s Green Hydrogen Policy 2024. The MoU signed in 2024 between the two regions establishes a framework for cooperation in clean energy and innovation.
The delegation expressed interest in two proposed Centres of Excellence for collaboration on green hydrogen initiatives. The visit aims to deepen strategic ties between India and Japan, fostering long-term partnerships in energy and industrial development.
