Yaracuy Electrical Grid Recovery Plan Enhances Stability

The rehabilitation of the Independencia Electrical Substation's transformer, which has a capacity of 14 megawatts (MW), plays a crucial role in managing 60% of Yaracuy's electrical load. Additional measures include the delivery of 17 vehicles to Corpoelec and the installation of 70 new transformers across 30 communities.

Ongoing technical maneuvers involve commissioning three capacitor banks to stabilize voltage and implementing vegetation control to prevent transmission line interruptions. Circuit separation work is planned at the Chivacoa and Aroa substations to enhance operational flexibility and prevent widespread outages. The efforts are expected to improve service reliability and reduce response times for maintenance issues.
