Yili Technology and Guna New Energy Advance Solid-State Battery Projects in China

The energy storage industry saw significant advancements on January 7-8, with Yili Technology launching a solid-state battery cathode material production line in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, backed by a RMB 1.12 billion investment. The facility will have an annual capacity of 5,200 tons and includes a pilot line for process validation.

Concurrently, Guna New Energy signed a RMB 200 million investment agreement in Fujian Province for a solid-state electrolyte manufacturing project aimed at enhancing material consistency and stability. CATL's Luoyang base has entered the equipment installation stage for Phase III of its 40 GWh production facility, while Guoke Energy reported progress in its 30 GWh battery base project in Lanzhou, with a focus on lithium iron phosphate cells and a planned investment of RMB 2.8 billion.
