YIT Launches Circular Economy Store and Educational Collaboration in Vallila, Helsinki
YIT's Circular Economy Pilot Block 697 in Vallila, Helsinki, opens a circular economy store and begins removing reusable materials. The store, operated by Spolia Design Oy, will sell refurbished building components. YIT also partners with Stadin AO to educate construction students on circular economy practices, aiming to develop a new study module. YIT's Circular Economy Pilot Block 697 in Vallila, Helsinki, has opened a circular economy store as it begins the removal of reusable materials from empty buildings. Operated by Spolia Design Oy, the store will sell refurbished building components with a two-year warranty.
YIT is also collaborating with Stadin AO to educate construction students on circular economy practices, intending to develop a new study module on circular construction. This project is designed to promote circular economy principles and enhance sustainability, with a zoning proposal set for public viewing in spring 2026.
