Zaza Pachulia Secures 49-Year Lease for Hydropower Project in Georgia
Zaza Pachulia's company, Sadmeli Hydropower Plant LLC, has obtained a 49-year land lease for a hydropower facility in Racha. This project, with a capacity of 2.66 MW, is slated for completion by September 30, 2027.

Sadmeli Hydropower Plant LLC, owned by Zaza Pachulia, has been granted a 49-year land lease for 29,007 square meters in Ambrolauri Municipality for hydropower development. The lease agreement, signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on March 31, 2026, includes an annual fee of 18,973 GEL.
The agreement for the plant's construction was finalized on December 24, 2025, involving the government and the commercial operator of the electricity system. The plant will be located on the Ritseula River, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 2027.
The establishment of this facility contributes to Georgia's ten-year transmission development plan. The project's success could enhance regional energy production capabilities.
