Zero Footprint Industries Plans ₹1,100 Crore Green Hydrogen Investment in Uttar Pradesh
Zero Footprint Industries Limited (ZFI) is investing ₹1,100 crore in a green hydrogen project in Uttar Pradesh, aiming to increase production capacity from 2.5 million cubic metres to 100 million by 2030. This initiative will contribute to India's clean energy goals and reduce carbon emissions significantly.

Zero Footprint Industries Limited (ZFI) has initiated a ₹1,100 crore investment for the expansion of its green hydrogen project in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, with a target to scale production from 2.5 million cubic metres to 100 million cubic metres by 2030. The company has already invested ₹30 crore in its current facility and plans an additional ₹50 crore for the second phase.
Collaborations with Waaree Energy and Vision Mechatronics aim to enhance hydrogen production and develop a cooking ecosystem. This project aligns with India's clean energy mission, with green hydrogen expected to play a vital role in decarbonization efforts. The expansion may significantly impact the clean energy landscape and support sustainable fuel initiatives.
