Zero Zero Robotics' HOVERAir AQUA Faces Regulatory Challenges in the U.S.
The HOVERAir AQUA drone has likely been discontinued in the U.S. after failing to secure FCC certification amid regulatory changes. This situation highlights the impact of government actions on innovative technology products and raises concerns for crowdfunding backers.

The HOVERAir AQUA, developed by Zero Zero Robotics, has not received FCC certification, resulting in potential discontinuation in the U.S. market. Launched in August 2025, the drone raised over $2 million on Indiegogo, offering specifications such as 4K video recording and a waterproof design.
However, a U.S. government shutdown in October 2025 delayed regulatory processing, exacerbated by subsequent FCC changes that banned foreign drones lacking prior approval. As of early 2026, Zero Zero Robotics shifted communication with backers, suspending U.S. orders and offering refunds while providing alternative delivery options in Canada. The AQUA's status remains uncertain, illustrating regulatory barriers in the technology sector.
