On July 15, 2025, ZeroAvia and Horizon Aircraft launched a collaboration focused on integrating a hydrogen-electric powertrain into Horizon's Cavorite X7 eVTOL platform. The Cavorite X7 features 14 lifting fans for vertical takeoff and landing and is capable of both runway and vertical landings.
This partnership also aims to expedite research into necessary infrastructure and certification guidelines for zero-emission aviation. The initiative could significantly impact regional air mobility by providing a cleaner, efficient travel solution, although regulatory challenges may arise as the industry evolves.
