Zurich Launches Data Center Insurance Category in Brazil
Zurich Seguros has introduced a new insurance category in Brazil specifically aimed at data center construction projects. This initiative reflects the industry's shift towards integrating advanced risk management solutions in response to emerging technologies.

Zurich Seguros has launched a dedicated insurance category in Brazil for data center construction projects, combining traditional engineering risk coverage with specific clauses for temperature and humidity control failures, crisis management, and radioactive contamination events. This policy addresses critical dependencies on external services, such as electricity supply and connectivity, protecting against additional costs and schedule impacts if suppliers are affected by covered events.
Zurich's offering also includes engineering services through Zurich Resilience Solutions, focusing on risk analysis, vulnerability assessments, and loss prevention from project inception. The Zurich Data Center Eco variant targets projects utilizing 100% renewable energy and offers climate consulting services. This trend may signify a broader industry adaptation to technological advancements and changing risk landscapes.
