12 Estonian Defense Firms Receive €1.8 Million in Development Support

The Ministry of Defense of Estonia awarded €1.8 million in development support to 12 defense companies as part of its 2025 defense industry development competition. This is the largest amount distributed in the competition's history.
Since its inception in 2013, the ministry has funded 85 projects with around €8 million. This year's competition included projects focusing on counter-drone technology and electronic warfare protection, with funding amounts between €95,000 and €200,000, covering 30-40% of project costs. The awarded companies include Alfatec Group, ARM Vision, BaBayte, and others.
