12 Estonian Defense Firms Receive €1.8 Million in Development Support
Twelve Estonian defense companies have been awarded €1.8 million in project development support, the largest sum allocated to date. This funding comes from the Ministry of Defense's 2025 defense industry development competition. The competition aims to enhance Estonia's defense capabilities and maintain international competitiveness. Over the years, the ministry has supported 85 projects with approximately €8 million in total funding.

Since its inception in 2013, the ministry has funded 85 projects with around €8 million. This year's competition included projects focusing on counter-drone technology and electronic warfare protection, with funding amounts between €95,000 and €200,000, covering 30-40% of project costs. The awarded companies include Alfatec Group, ARM Vision, BaBayte, and others.
