NRW.BANK, alongside Earlybird and regional investors, has mobilized €15 million for start-ups in South Westphalia. This initiative aims to enhance innovation and competitiveness in the region, targeting sectors like AI and robotics.

NRW.BANK has committed €5 million to the Earlybird VIII early-stage fund, part of a total €15 million allocation aimed at supporting start-ups in South Westphalia. Additional funds are provided by private family offices, including Krombacher, to support technology-oriented ventures.
The investment targets sectors such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and sustainable technologies, fostering scalable business models. This marks Earlybird's first strategic investment specifically in North Rhine-Westphalia, leveraging its expertise to enhance local innovation.
