1789 Capital Pursues $8B Investment in Sun Belt Real Estate
1789 Capital aims to deploy over $8 billion in Sun Belt real estate, backed by Donald Trump Jr. The firm has closed a $1.2 billion fund focusing on housing and community development in rapidly growing states including Florida and Texas.

1789 Capital has established a $1.2 billion fund to target over $8 billion in real estate investments across the Sun Belt, particularly in states like Florida, Texas, and Georgia. The firm, which includes Donald Trump Jr. as a partner, has collaborated with Easton Street to focus on housing, community development, and data centers.
Since Trump Jr. joined in 2024, assets under management have increased to over $3 billion, achieving approximately 200% returns in its main equity fund. The fund's formation has raised ethical concerns regarding the Trump family's wealth amid his presidency, as companies in which 1789 invested received over $1.6 billion in federal contracts during his second term.
