Schneider Electric Unveils AI-Ready Data Center Solutions to Address Energy and Sustainability Challenges
Schneider Electric has launched new solutions to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability in AI-driven data centers. Key innovations include a reference design developed with NVIDIA and the Galaxy VXL UPS, aimed at meeting the growing energy demands associated with AI technologies.

Schneider Electric has introduced a new reference design for AI-optimized data centers, developed in collaboration with NVIDIA, capable of supporting liquid-cooled AI clusters with up to 132 kW per rack. Additionally, the Galaxy VXL, a high-density UPS, offers a power density of 1042 kW/m² and is designed to provide efficient energy in compact spaces.
The design includes options for liquid cooling distribution units and direct-to-chip cooling, enhancing operational efficiency. Schneider Electric plans to integrate AI-driven monitoring and energy management to further reduce the carbon footprint of data centers.
The company's acquisition of a majority stake in Motivair Corporation will bolster its liquid cooling solutions. A report predicts that by 2027, data centers will account for 2.5% of global electricity demand, underscoring the urgency for sustainable practices in the sector.
