22nd Century Technologies has acquired the federal contracting division of BT Group, now operating as 22nd Century Networks, covering all 50 U.S. states. The transaction, announced on Tuesday, aims to enhance telecommunications and networking capabilities within 22nd Century's managed service offerings.

BT Federal generated approximately $4.8 million in unclassified prime contract revenue over the last year, with 89% from defense-related work. This acquisition aligns with 22nd Century's strategy to focus on digital transformation and public safety. In 2024, 22nd Century also acquired TreasurySoft to expand its enterprise resource planning practice and previously purchased Queues Enforth Development in 2023, enhancing its dispatch and records management systems.
