The 316th Operations Group conducted an immersive tour for 11 honorary commanders from the National Capital Region at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, on March 5, 2026. Activities included a mission briefing, flight equipment familiarization, a virtual reality simulator demonstration, and a static display tour of the UH-1N Huey.

The Honorary Commander Program is designed to engage community leaders as unofficial spokespersons for the Air Force. Col. Gary Charland Jr. and Honorary Commander Blaire Houston participated, highlighting the importance of community involvement in military missions and the impact of the program on personal understanding of military service.
