South 8 Technologies and 3ME Technology have signed a Letter of Intent to develop lithium-ion battery solutions for extreme cold-weather defense operations. The collaboration aims to integrate South 8's LiGas cells into 3ME's EdgeVOLT Cold Weather Variant battery systems, targeting applications that require reliable power in harsh environments. South 8 will supply battery cells capable of operating between -60 °C and +60 °C, addressing energy loss issues in sub-zero climates.
