South 8 Technologies and 3ME Technology have signed a Letter of Intent to collaborate on lithium-ion battery solutions for extreme cold-weather defense operations. The agreement focuses on integrating South 8's LiGas technology into 3ME's EdgeVOLT Cold Weather Variant battery systems.

South 8 will provide LiGas cells that operate in temperatures from -60 °C to +60 °C, enhancing performance in Arctic conditions. This partnership aims to address energy loss in cold climates and improve mission endurance and reliability for defense applications.
