410th Contracting Support Brigade Transitions to MICC to Support Army Western Hemisphere Command
On January 22, 2026, the 410th Contracting Support Brigade (CSB) transitioned from the U.S. Army Contracting Command to the U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), effective January 15, 2026. Under the command of Brig. Gen. Freddy Adams, the 410th CSB will enhance contracting support for the Army Western Hemisphere Command, focusing on homeland defense and civil authority support. This transition involves coordinated efforts among MICC, ACC, and the 410th CSB to ensure operational readiness.

On January 22, 2026, the Field Directorate Office Fort Sam Houston and the 410th Contracting Support Brigade (CSB) conducted a tabletop exercise to discuss the transition of the 410th CSB from the U.S. Army Contracting Command to the U.S.
Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), effective January 15, 2026. Brig. Gen.
Freddy Adams assumed command of the 410th CSB, which will support the Army Western Hemisphere Command (WHC), enhancing contracting support for operations in the Northern and Southern Command areas. The transition aims to integrate the 410th CSB with the WHC’s mission of homeland defense and civil authority support.
Over the past year, the Field Directorate Office Fort Sam Houston awarded contracts valued at approximately $2 billion to U.S. Army North. The transition involves phased coordination among MICC, ACC, and the 410th CSB to ensure operational readiness and support for the WHC.
