413 Works Seeks $20.5 Million for Secure Conference Space in Dayton
413 Works has applied to the Dayton Region Priority Development and Advocacy Committee (PDAC) for over $20.5 million to establish a secure facility in Dayton, aimed at supporting military, defense, and aerospace operations. The budget includes $1.1 million for real estate acquisition.
The facility will provide secure spaces for discussions of classified information and will be available for lease by government and industry partners, enhancing national security and economic benefits for the region. In 2024, the Fairborn Development Corp. received a $1 million grant from Ohio to construct a 40,000-square-foot SCIF at the former Skyway Plaza in Fairborn, with survey and demolition work being conducted by Choice One. The PDAC oversees funding requests aimed at benefiting the Dayton area, although no immediate funding is guaranteed from this process.
