52 Barangays in Albay Impacted by Mayon Volcano Eruption
The Mayon Volcano eruption has led to significant ashfall across 52 barangays in Albay, affecting over 5,440 individuals. Authorities are mobilizing emergency responses, including road clearing and aid distribution, to mitigate health risks and ensure public safety.

Ashfall from the Mayon Volcano eruption has impacted 52 barangays in Albay, with 1,438 families currently in evacuation centers. The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Bicol has initiated clearing operations, focusing on national roads, where ash accumulation has reached two to three inches.
Aid efforts are being bolstered by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), which has distributed food and essential items, including N95 masks. As of now, a total of 87 barangays have been reported affected, and relief resources amount to P245.83 million. Continued monitoring and safety measures are critical as ashfall poses health risks and hazardous conditions on roads.
